Volunteering at school

Mosman Public School recognises the important role parents play in their child's education and we actively encourage your involvement in the life of the school.

Research shows that children benefit when their parents/carers are actively involved in their education and school life.

By volunteering at Mosman Public School, you will get to know our staff, connect with other parents/carers and contribute to a positive experience for your child.

You can help by:

  • participating in Literacy groups in the classroom
  • volunteering in the canteen
  • marshaling/timekeeping at sports carnivals
  • help supervise excursions
  • getting involved in fundraising activities
  • joining school committees
Parents/carers must provide a current working with children check (WWCC) or sign a declaration at the office (link below).  Proof of identification such as a driver's license must also be sighted by front office staff before volunteering. This declaration is current for the time your child is at Mosman Public School, unless you do not volunteer for a 12 month period.
